Ko Zoe de Malmanche tooku ingoa, me korero tatou!

I joined the Tiaki team in early 2025 after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws from Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington. This role marks the start of my journey into family law, but I am not new to working with tamariki, whānau and their communities. I have over three years’ experience working in education advocating for better learning resources and policies in schools and kura. This has sparked my passion for helping others create environments which promote a child’s wellbeing and growth. I am inspired by the opportunity to help clients achieve this goal whether that be navigating the challenges of parenting while separated, relationship property division, family violence matters or care of children matters.

I believe that everyone is entitled to access the law and that includes a good lawyer who will work hard for them. I enjoy the opportunity family law brings to use my skills to ensure that our clients have fair access to justice regardless of social or financial status.

I am proud to be whakapapa maaori. During my tertiary education, I took a particular focus on the place of tikanga maaori and the law. Outside of this mahi, I also participate in ongoing work for my iwi, Raukawa which is based in South Waikato.

I grew up between the Waikato and Mount Maunganui but moved to Te Whanganui a Tara in 2020 to embark on my studies. I come from a big but tight-knit family which includes three sisters and a dog named Bruce. You’ll either find us outside skiing, running, or mountain biking, or inside doing puzzles and eating kai around the coffee table.
